Two of these dives are mandatory: ✅Deep Dive: This dive usually takes you deeper than 18 meters (60 feet) to experience and learn about deep diving techniques and safety considerations. ✅Underwater Navigation Dive: Focuses on using a compass and natural navigation skills to find your way underwater. ✅Elective Adventure Dives: In addition to the two required dives, you choose three elective dives based on your interests. Options often include: ✅Wreck Diving ✅Night Diving ✅Peak Performance Buoyancy ✅Underwater Photography ✅Drift Diving ✅Search and Recovery ✅Fish Identification Knowledge Development: For each adventure dive, you’ll complete a knowledge review or a short study session covering the dive’s key concepts, procedures, and safety considerations. Certification: Upon successful completion of the five Adventure Dives and associated knowledge reviews, you earn the Advanced Open Water Diver certification, which allows you to dive deeper and explore more challenging underwater environments. Equipment Use: The course typically includes the use of essential scuba gear and any specialized equipment needed for the specific adventure dives (e.g., dive lights for night diving, slates for underwater navigation).
